Tidel Line Added to Loomis SafePoint

Intelligent safes offer point-of-sale integration and Windows-based connectivity for reporting.

CARROLLTON, Texas -- Tidel Engineering LP's Sentinel line of products was added to the Loomis suite of SafePoint offerings in the U.S. market, Tidel stated.

The Loomis SafePoint program gives retailers a turnkey cash management solution, including deployment of an intelligent safe solution, secure cash transportation, processing and electronic reporting, according to the company.

"We are pleased to welcome the Tidel Sentinel's family of intelligent safes to our suite of SafePoint solutions," Cal Murri, president Loomis US operations, said in a statement. "The safes offer an easy Windows-based connectivity to our Web-based CPR reporting platform. When required, the Sentinel will also interface to the customers' point-of-sale (POS) system at the transaction level to keep cash completely in balance at all times."

The Sentinel line provides user information on cash handling throughout the day, reduces cash shrinkage and shortens the end of day closeouts for store managers, which provides more time to attend to customers, according to Ed Grondahl, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Tidel.
