PHILADELPHIA -- Sunoco, Inc., operator of 541 APlus convenience stores, yesterday announced the promotion of three executives to senior vice president: Michael H.R. Dingus, Bruce G. Fischer, and Thomas W. Hofmann.
Tom Hofmann has been vice president and CFO of Sunoco since July 1998. "Tom provides essential leadership in the acquisitions and financial arrangements that have been so important to Sunoco's strong performance," said Jack Drosdick, Sunoco's chairman and CEO. "He provides ongoing management support to all of Sunoco's business interests and is an important contributor to our growth strategy."
Bruce Fischer will continue to lead the company's growing Chemicals business. "Sunoco Chemicals has grown significantly over the past year and Bruce led the successful integration of the Aristech acquisition into our operations," Drosdick said. Fischer has a 22-year career with Sunoco including his leadership role in the successful turnaround of Sunoco's MidAmerica business unit from 1995 to 1999.
Mike Dingus, a 30-year Sunoco employee, will continue as president of Sun Coke Co., which he has headed since 1996.
