    Speedway Announces Cigarette Lighter Recall

Lighters may flare up or catch fire.

ENON, Ohio -- Speedway SuperAmerica and Rich convenience stores are recalling "Speedway" cigarette lighters purchased between July 1, 2005 and Oct. 5, 2005.

Some of these cigarette lighters, sold exclusively at Speedway SuperAmerica and Rich convenience stores located in Kentucky, W. Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and S. Dakota, may flare up or the lighter may catch fire when attempting to start it.

If the lighter has a Speedway logo on the front and the warning information on the back is only in black type (no red type), Speedway asks that you do not attempt to start the lighter and discontinue use immediately. Customers can return the product to the store where the lighter was purchased for a full refund.

Speedway asks that customers contact the nearest Speedway location immediately and stop using the lighter. If you are not located near a Speedway store, call Speedway Customer Service at (800) 643-1948 for information about collection points and claims. Visit marathonpetroleum.com for current information.
