Shell Ups ‘Drive for Five’ Card Fuel Savings

HOUSTON -- Shell Oil Co. is giving consumers an extra incentive to sign up for its Drive for Five Card. Beginning Monday, drivers who apply by Oct. 31 and are approved for the card can save 25 cents per gallon for up to 100 gallons purchased.

To receive the discount, customers must buy at least 45 gallons of Shell Enriched gasoline or Shell Diesel each month. The deal -- which can save consumers up to $25 each qualifying month -- is good for the first two months after the account open date.

"From a group of friends hitting the road for a Labor Day excursion to a family of four enjoying a fall break getaway, the Shell Drive for Five Card offers a way to save while on the road," said Ebbie Normyle, Shell U.S. Consumer Payment Manager. "With more than 14,000 Shell locations across America, this is just one of the many ways we can offer our loyal customers lower fuel costs without sacrificing the quality of fuel."

After the limited-time offer ends, Drive for Five cardholders will receive the ongoing 5 cents-per-gallon discount when they purchase a minimum of 45 gallons of Shell Enriched gasoline or Shell Diesel during a billing cycle.

Houston-based Shell Oil Co. is a refiner, transporter and marketer of fuels. It has a network of approximately 6,100 branded gas stations in the western United States.
