Applause with Loyalty enables integration with third-party loyalty programs, according to Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root.
"We are excited to build on the Applause Media System to bring a richer loyalty experience to our customers," said Brad Smith, regional information technology manager for R.H. Smith Distributing. "Being able to personalize the fueling experience and serve relevant, meaningful promotions differentiates us from our competitors and helps drive customer loyalty and additional sales."
Smith added that customers are compelled to visit the store when presented with "offers that speak directly to them."
Applause is a forecourt media system with audio/video and couponing intended to provide loyalty integration, featuring customized, customer-centric promotions at the pump. In May, Gilbarco Veeder-Root certified KickBack Rewards as part of the Applause with Loyalty rollout, and is working to add more loyalty providers, the company stated.
"Our customers' most important objectives are to grow their customer base and drive in-store sales," said Travis Bouck, Gilbarco Veeder-Root's vice president of marketing for North America. "To that end, Applause with Loyalty is our latest in a line of industry-first innovations – personalizing the fueling experience, targeting relevant promotions, and bringing customers back again and again."
Applause with Loyalty is available for Applause TV with Outcast and self-managed Applause systems. The technology solutions will be on display at Gilbarco Veeder-Root's booth, the Kickback Rewards booth and the Cool New Products Preview Room at next week's NACS Show in Las Vegas.
