Kum & Go Reinforces Commitment to Renewable Fuels

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — In its commitment to renewable fuels, Kum & Go LC has become the newest associate member of the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA).

The West Des Moines-based convenience store and fuel operator has been offering renewable fuels at the pump for almost 20 years. It currently offers biofuel options including E15, E85 and biodiesel at stores across its 11 operating states.

"We've seen clear and consistent consumer demand for fuels that are better for our economy, environment and national security," said Jim Pirolli, vice president, fuels, Kum & Go. "Joining IRFA only further solidifies our commitment to expanding access to biofuels and giving our customers the option to choose a fuel that meets those demands."

Kum & Go is the largest E85 and E15 operator across Iowa, the association stated. The c-store retailer has worked with IRFA for years to expand and promote access to renewable fuels across the state.

"Kum & Go has been a great partner in the effort to expand consumer access to renewable fuels, and it's a pleasure to welcome them as a member," said IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw. "Kum & Go is the recognized leader in giving their customers choices at the pump, not just in Iowa but around the country. No other retailer has done more to promote E15, E85, and biodiesel."

IRFA represents the state's liquid renewable fuels industry and works to foster its growth.

Kum & Go LC operates more than 400 c-stores in 11 states.
