Hostess Seeks Recipes for Twinkies Cookbook

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Hostess Brands LLC is inviting Twinkies fans and food fanatics alike to submit "delicious, fun and inventive" Twinkies-inspired recipes for a chance to be included in the new edition of "The Twinkies Cookbook." The collection will hit shelves in 2015 to commemorate the brand's 85th anniversary.

The book will be published by Ten Speed Press, a division of Random House, and celebrate the successful return of one of the country's iconic snack cakes. Twinkies officially made its comeback on July 15, 2013, and 500 million of the snack cakes have been baked and shipped since.

“On average, Hostess has produced 500 million Twinkies annually, but since returning to shelves last July, demand has been tremendous, pushing us past that milestone faster than ever,” said William Toler, president and CEO at Hostess Brands. “This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate America’s renewed love affair with Twinkies by creating a comeback edition of the 'The Twinkies Cookbook' and inviting fans to be part of the next chapter of Twinkies history.”

To submit recipe ideas, consumers are invited to visit www.hostesscakes.com. The deadline for submissions is July 31. All submissions become property of Hostess Brands.
