Tom Thumb to Debut Drive-Thru Liquor Store

CRESTVIEW, Fla. — Tom Thumb Food Stores, one of The Kroger Co.'s convenience store divisions, will make alcohol sales even more convenient by adding a new drive-thru liquor store concept to an existing Crestview store.

The store is located on State Road 85, south of Interstate 10, according to a Northwest Florida Daily News report.

The all-new, standalone Tom Thumb Liquors location will also include more than 2,500 square feet of retail space in addition to the drive-thru window lane.

"We're excited about the opportunity to bring a new destination to adult beverage consumers in the north Okaloosa area," stated Tom Thumb Vice President Trey Powell. "We pride ourselves on responsible retailing, and believe we are well-positioned to serve adult beverage consumers with Crestview's premier selection of spirits, craft beers and fine wines."

Tom Thumb Liquors is expected to open in late November and offer more than 2,000 globally sourced products. It will also offer a 10-tap growler station that refills 32- and 64-ounce growlers; premium hand-rolled cigars and tobaccos; dozens of local and regional craft beers, with a "Pick 6" sampler program; lottery tickets; and more.

"The investment in Crestview comes against the backdrop of our ongoing remodel efforts, numerous digital signage and equipment upgrades, and a host of other store improvements to our existing portfolio," Powell said. "We continue to reinvest in the communities we serve, and have proudly served for more than 60 years."

Tom Thumb also recently opened a new convenience store at 1101 Eglin Parkway in Shalimar, Fla., according to the report. A grand-opening event took place Nov. 7.
