Shaking Up The Cold Vault

Just in time for the hottest days of the summer, Ben & Jerry's MilkShakes have moved into the coolers at convenience and grocery stores nationwide. The milk beverages come in three classic flavors from the South Burlington, Vt. ice cream maker, including Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

Like all Ben & Jerry's ice cream products, the milkshakes are made with naturally good ingredients, including milk from cows that are not treated with rBGH. Available in 8-ounce glass bottles, the product is being distributed through Pepsi's bottling system.

As reported by CSNews Online in February, the multi-year licensing agreement with PepsiCo is Ben & Jerry's first such agreement. Pepsi, based in Purchase, N.Y., also sells Frappuccinos and Starbucks DoubleShots and flavored Quaker Milk Chillers.

In support of Ben & Jerry's ongoing efforts to address global warming, the company will donate 1 percent of net sales of Ben & Jerry's MilkShakes to Clean Air-Cool Planet, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding and implementing solutions to global warming.
