    Management changes take place at four industry manufacturers and suppliers.

    JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Imperial Tobacco Group appointed Kevin Freudenthal as region director, Americas, and president and CEO of Commonwealth -- Altadis Inc. He will assume the new position on Jan. 30, succeeding Graham Bolt, who has retired.

    Prior to joining Imperial Tobacco Group, Freudenthal served as vice president, Category Management, for Altria Group and had a long sales and marketing career in executive positions at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. from 1986 to 2008, when the company was acquired.

    Freudenthal has been a member of industry groups and associations including the Tobacco Outlet Advisory Group, UST Retail Advisory Group, Texas Grocers & Convenience Association, California Grocers Association, National Association of Convenience Stores and American Wholesale Marketers Association. He has also sponsored the Network of Executive Women.

    Sysco Corp. appointed William W. Goetz to the newly created role of senior vice president of marketing.

    Prior to joining Sysco, Goetz served as president and COO of Global Accounts and Strategic Markets at Cintas Corp. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increased marketing responsibility at both Cintas and ECOLAB Corp.

    Catalina Marketing Corp.
    Catalina Marketing named John Miles as its new executive vice president and CIO. In this role, Miles will be responsible for leading information technology (IT) strategy, research and development, and new product development.

    Miles replaces Eric Williams, who spent 19 years at Catalina and played a formative role in the company's development as a global leader in consumer brand, health and retail marketing. Among his many accomplishments, Williams led the design and implementation of Catalina's shopper data warehouse, one of the largest transaction-level databases in the world.

    Washworld
    Washworld Inc. named Jim Koch to the newly created position of director of national accounts. The company said its rapid growth over the last few years has necessitated the addition of a person to handle the complexities of large, multi-state accounts.

    Koch's 18 years in the car wash industry, as well as his previous position as vice president of national accounts for CSI/Lustra, makes him ideally suited to that task, according to the company's announcement.
