    NCR, Fields Consulting Expand Partnership

    Point-of-sale offering to include NCR hardware, software and help desk support for customers and other resellers.

    DULUTH, Ga. -- NCR Corp. expanded its channel partnership with Phoenix-based Fields Consulting Group Inc., a full-service information technology (IT) company and provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions in the retail and hospitality industry. Through this deal, Fields Consulting Group will continue to resell the NCR RealPOS terminals, adding the NCR General POS Software Solution (GenPOS) and associated help desk support for its midmarket customers and other NCR GenPOS resellers, the companies reported.

    “This partnership creates outstanding value for the NCR General POS Solution partner community and their customers,” Brad Tracy, vice president of channel sales for NCR Corp., said in a released statement. “Our NCR GenPOS partners gain an experienced help desk resource that provides them with even more options to support midmarket retailers and restaurants.”

    NCR GenPOS is a transaction processing and reporting software solution for general and specialty retail store and restaurant owners. It includes a wide range of features to provide consumers with fast and efficient service, including the ability to handle promotional discounts and coupons.

    Additionally, to maximize POS uptime, Fields Consulting Group will offer several tiers of support packages, monitoring and incident reporting, based on the customer’s requirements, up to full-time monitoring 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the company reported.

    “We look forward to providing our expertise in POS help desk support for the midmarket to NCR’s GenPOS resellers and helping to build the market for NCR’s solutions,” Terry Ward, vice president of business development for Fields Consulting Group said in a released statement.
