Mac's Customers Can Now Drink in Drank

ONTARIO, Canada -- Mac's Convenience Stores, a division of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., signed a distribution deal with Innovative Beverage Group Holdings Inc. to bring drank Extreme Relaxation beverage to its more than 900 locations throughout Central and Eastern Canada in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

"Mac's has been closely monitoring the continued growth of the relaxation product category, and we want to bring in new, innovative products for our customers," stated Donna Yuen, senior marketing manager for the convenience store chain.

Drank bills itself as the antithesis of energy drinks. With a slogan of "Slow your roll," the lightly carbonated relaxation product uses melatonin, valerian root and rose hips to deliver a relaxing effect to consumers. The beverage started launching in select markets in early 2008.

"Mac's is an absolute staple amongst convenience stores throughout our northern neighbors' provinces and cities," Peter Bianchi, CEO of Innovative Beverage Group, said in a statement. "By signing this distribution deal with a company renowned for giving customers what they ask for, we assure our Canadian friends that drank will be on store shelves for years to come."
