LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- LOGIC Technology, a developer of premium electronic cigarettes, announced the addition of Miguel Martin to its executive team in the role of president. Martin is the former senior vice president and general manager of Altria Sales & Distribution, where he led all merchandising and distribution services for Philip Morris USA, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. and John Middleton.
As president of LOGIC, Martin will lead the company's rapid growth, developing and implementing a strategic plan to accelerate LOGIC's status as a leader in the e-cigarette industry.
"This is an exciting time for LOGIC Technology, and we are thrilled to bring a key executive with vast experience of the tobacco industry on board," said Eli Alelov, CEO of Livingston, N.J.-based LOGIC Technology. "Miguel's unique background, relationships and understanding of the business will build upon LOGIC's vision for its consumers and trade partners."
Martin began his career at one of the world's largest tobacco companies, Philip Morris USA. Over the course of 18 years, he served in various sales and marketing roles, ultimately serving as senior vice president of field sales, where he ran the largest tobacco sales and distribution organization in the United States, responsible for Philip Morris USA, U.S. Smokeless and John Middleton tobacco products.
"This is a pivotal moment in the electronic cigarette industry, and I'm thrilled to be joining LOGIC's team at a time of great opportunity for the industry as a whole and particularly for LOGIC and its trade partners," Martin stated. "LOGIC is a leader in the space and I'm looking forward to further enhancing the brand's presence in the United States."
According to LOGIC, its multiple industry-leading patents enable the company to set itself apart by featuring revolutionary technology that delivers the most realistic smoking experience. Simulating the feeling and taste of a real cigarette, LOGIC's electronic cigarettes provide a sensory experience that satisfies a smoker's addictive cravings for the nicotine, tobacco flavor, hand-to-mouth motion and vapor release, while avoiding the 4,000 toxins that are in traditional cigarettes, the company noted.
"Miguel's knowledge of the industry and proven track record within it will help to advance LOGIC to new levels and maintain our status as one of the best-selling electronic cigarettes in the United States," concluded Howard Panes, co-founder and chief operating officer of LOGIC Technology.
