LA CROSSE, Wis. -- A major revitalization project is set to get underway in downtown La Crosse courtesy of Kwik Trip Inc., WKBT La Crosse reported.
Hans Zietlow, the chain’s director of real estate, spoke this week with the Washburn Neighborhood Association about plans for a new convienence store on Fifth and Cass Streets. The current Kwik Trip there and the strip mall connected to the store will be torn down and in its place, Kwik Trip will put in new gas pumps and a car wash.
The retailer will be using the latest technology, and Zietlow told the association he hopes the building will be certified for its efforts to go green. Demolition is expected to start in early August, with the project wrapping up by mid-December, the report stated.
