    Convenience Distribution Association Unveils New Digital Tools

    Services include online communities and more.

    RESTON, Va. — The Convenience Distribution Association (formerly known as AWMA) unveiled a host of digital tools intended to deliver better, more timely content to its members. The new services were introduced during the association’s Business Exchange Event, taking place this week in Chicago.

    The new tools include a series of online communities, dubbed IdeaXchange, as well as a redesigned website with more content.

    These new digital products join the online member state and federal advocacy center and a series of webinars the Convenience Distribution Association introduced earlier this year.

    “Our new website provides a gateway to great new content that is locked down and available only to members of the Convenience Distribution Association,” said President Scott Ramminger. “We’ve made the log-in process for members as easy as possible. All of these new tools are linked through our back-office systems and feature a single sign in.”

    IdeaXchange, the key component of the new digital tools, is an online community and a knowledge base or resource center, where association staff and members can easily post content, according to the trade group. It will also serve as a workspace for the trade group’s board of directors, committees and task forces.

    “These online communities are meant as an enhancement of the in-person communities within the association,” said Kimberly Bolin, executive vice president of the Convenience Distribution Association.

    Reston-based Convenience Distribution Association works on behalf of convenience products distributors in the United States. Its distributor members represent more than $92 billion in convenience products sales.
