ConocoPhillips to Revamp Website
HOUSTON -- ConocoPhillips is redesigning its Web site and has selected the Chicago office of Digitas to handle the digital creative assignment, according to an Adweek report.
The selection came after a review in which there were two other finalists, according to sources. Those other contenders could not be identified.
The company's major media spending totaled $12 million last year and $6 million in the first seven months of 2010, according to Nielsen. Those figures don't include online spending.
ConocoPhillips' lead creative agency is independent Venables Bell & Partners in San Francisco and its lead media agency is independent KSL in Los Angeles. Venables Bell landed its business last year, the magazine reported.
