OMAHA, Neb. --DTN Energy, a communications provider in the downstream petroleum marketing sector, has acquired Diamond Control Systems, Inc., an Allen, Texas-based developer of liquid terminal automation and monitoring systems. "Like DTN Energy, the success of Diamond Control Systems in the market place has been the result of combining technological innovation with the knowledge of experienced petroleum professionals," states DTN President Darius Lechtenberger. "It is rare when the products and engineering capabilities of one company are so immediately applicable to the strategic vision of another. Diamond's success in providing automated solutions at the terminal level will mesh perfectly with DTN Energy's determination to streamline the supply chain."Diamond Control's offering includes Guardian/2 turnkey terminal automation system, the recently introduced G3 automation system, Tank Sentry inventory management system, and the iLoad Internet-based remote facilities administration system. DTN will integrate Diamond Control's products to deliver automated inventory management at bulk liquid terminals.
