Dollar General Taps Guion
NEW YORK -- Dollar General Corp. has named Kathleen Guion, the former head of Duke and Long Distributing Co., as its executive vice president of store operations.
Guion takes over her post at the Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based retailer Oct. 20.
Priort to Dollar General, Guion served as president and CEO of Duke and Long, an Austin, Texas, operator of convenience stores and a wholesale distributor of petroleum products. Guion also held various management positions for 7-Eleven Inc.
"Kathleen brings a wealth of operations management experience to our company," Dollar General Chairman and CEO David Perdue said. "She has an excellent record of developing strong teams and implementing successful initiatives. We are looking forward to her significant contributions, particularly in store-level execution."
