Cumberland Farms Gulf Group & Sunoco Partner With Liquid Ice

Dispensed beverage company also signs service agreement with Bunn-O-Matic.

NORTHBORO, Mass. -- The Cumberland Farms Gulf Group extended its six-year relationship with Liquid Ice Inc. as the exclusive dispensed beverage maintenance supplier for its 367 Northeast locations, while Sunoco, Inc. just awarded the dispensed beverage company a preventative contract for all of its company-operated convenience stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and parts of New York.

For Cumberland Gulf, the three-year contract extension covers the maintenance of the soda fountain, icemaker, and frozen beverage equipment in its stores located in the Northeast states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and New York.

"All of us at Liquid Ice are proud to have this long-term relationship with Cumberland Gulf extended another three years and beyond, and will strive to maintain our place as their beverage maintenance partner," stated Al Del Re, president of Liquid Ice.

For the Sunoco deal, the Liquid Ice agreement covers preventative maintenance for coffee, soda fountains and frozen beverage equipment at all sites featuring such products for three years starting June 1.

"Everyone at Liquid Ice is extremely proud to have earned the opportunity to maintain the beverage systems at Sunoco. We're certain this is the start of a long-term, growing relationship," said Del Re. Liquid Ice also installed a two-flavor frozen beverage dispenser at each of the 11 Massachusetts Turnpike Interstate 90 service plazas in a deal struck with wholesaler, Gulf Oil limited partnership. The agreement rolled out with Liquid Ice's two best-selling flavors, Blue Raspberry Frost and Wild Cherry Ice.

"The increasing popularity of frozen beverage makes this item a natural for Gulf Express," noted Del Re. "We are looking forward to a summer of fast sales."

In other news, Liquid Ice signed a service agent agreement with Bunn-O-Matic Corp., of Springfield, Ill. The agreement calls for factory training and certification of Liquid Ice's technicians for Bunn's line of cold beverage equipment, including juice Machines, slush machines and chilled iced tea units.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded the Bunn Serve Agent designation, and we're confident in our ability to strengthen and improve service levels for owners of Bunn equipment," Del Re stated.

The Bunn agreement covers parts repair services, installation, preventative maintenance, parts supply and factory warranties throughout Liquid Ice's New England service area plus parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
