Circle K Partners with The Nielsen Co.

Collaborative Retail Program launches this month.

NEW YORK – Convenience chain Circle K has partnered with The Nielsen Co., parent company of Convenience Store News, to create a collaborative retail program that will launch this month.

The program will report on the company's custom trade areas and category management reports. Included will be its strategic category business planning process, which will let Circle K provide actionable and consistent information, reduce time spent preparing for a category review and provide insights and recommendations through Web-based delivery of reports through Nielsen Answers Portal.

Reports will also include information on the company including category, manufacturer, brand and item dollar opportunity based on division share, along with items not carried by Circle K compared to its competition and a comparison of category/subcategory share across all company divisions.

Nielsen will also offer a year of category management reports for Circle K through a newly designed customer hierarchy defined by Nielsen and in accordance with NACS.

Nielsen will also be the exclusive provider of custom Circle K trade area information on the six regions it operates.
