TIFFIN, Iowa -- By the end of the summer, a new Casey's General Store will be open here, a company official told the Iowa City Press Citizen.
The BP Amoco station in the town has been operated for a few weeks by Casey's, said company CFO Bill Walljasper. Over the summer, the store will switch to the Casey's banner and renovate the store to include a kitchen, the report stated.
"Tiffin is one of those communities that fits very well into the model of Casey's General Stores," he told the paper, noting that the company locates stores in smaller, rural communities.
"But at the same time, we also think this is a community that will continue to grow." He added, "We felt it was a real nice fit for us."
The goal for the company this year is to acquire 50 stores and build 10, the report stated, citing the company's annual report.
