NEW YORK -- Imagine not paying for gasoline for five years. With gasoline prices nearing all-time high prices and continuing to rise, think of what you could do with all that extra money. At summer's end, Kum & Go will give that opportunity to four lucky customers.
As part of its Keep on Truckin' summer promotion, Kum & Go will give away four entire tankers of gasoline -- 8,200 gallons in each tanker - totaling 32,800 gallons of gasoline, valued at $16,154 each. That is enough gas to fill a 20-gallon tank 410 times or a 15-gallon tank 546 times. The contest began May 23, and ends Sept. 5, 2005.
"This is a first-of-its-kind promotion for Kum & Go," said Kyle Krause, president of Kum & Go. "It is an exciting way to show our genuine appreciation to our loyal customers."
The promotion is open to Kum & Go customers who are residents in one of the 13 states in which Kum & Go operates, including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado, Arkansas, Wyoming and Wisconsin. Customers in these states can stop by and complete a registration form at any one of the 425 Kum & Go stores to be eligible to win. Winners' names will be drawn on Sept. 5, 2005.
“Freestylin' Summer” Kicks Off Memorial Day
It's part family sedan, SUV and mini-van, and one lucky Rutter's customer is going to drive away with the whole of it.
A top-of-the-line red 2005 Ford Freestyle Limited will be the grand prize in Rutter's “Freestylin' Summer” giveaway, which begins Monday and runs through Aug. 21.
Fifty first-prize winners -- one from each Rutter's store -- will receive $100 Rutter's gift certificates and an invitation to the grand-prize celebration in September. At the celebration, each contestant will draw a key. One key will start the Freestyle -- and the person turning that key will drive off in style.
The Freestyle, which debuted in September, has won rave reviews. AutoWeek magazine called it “arguably the brightest and best new crossover,” referring to a relatively new category that autoMedia.com likened to “the legitimate love child of a family sedan and an SUV.”
During the giveaway, Rutter's will offer weekly product specials. With every purchase of a special, a customer will receive an entry blank. The more specials purchased, the more chances to win. (No purchase is necessary to enter, however.)
Participants must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Pennsylvania or Maryland at the time of entry. Official giveaway rules are available at all Rutter's stores.
Giveaway sponsors include Rutter's Dairy, 7 UP, Ben & Jerry's, Tropicana Twister, Slim Jim, Monster Energy, Canada Dry, Kunzler, Sunkist, Lay's, A&W and Snapple.
Family-owned and third generation-managed, York, Pa.-based Rutter's operates 50 convenience stores in York, Adams, Franklin and Lancaster counties.
