It has used KSS Fuels' PriceNet, PriceNet Mobile and KSS Visualizer products for about two years.
"PriceNet has helped us improve our reaction to market changes by giving us better control of our margin and volume," Rachel Gee, director of fuel operations for Brookshire's said in a released statement. "With the extreme volatility of the retail fuel industry, it’s comforting to know that we have PriceNet to guide us in a direction of improved performance."
The KSS Fuels product suite improves and simplifies the fuel pricing process by gathering data that allows Brookeshire's pricing team to manage the pricing process more effectively and efficiently, the company said. Benefits include timely market updates, margin and volume control, and price documentation for all fuel sites.
"We are thrilled that Brookshire's is being a proactive player in today's volatile market," Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels said in a released statement. "Being able to justify pricing decisions, having the confidence to make strategy changes and executing price changes rapidly are all part of a joint effort of PriceNet solutions and Brookshire’s pricing team."
PriceNet is a comprehensive pricing solution that supports the key tasks and stakeholders of retail fuels pricing, according to the company. It has high levels of automation and and 'exception-based' approach in order to ensure a rapid response to market conditions and competitors, which allows pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics. It also includes PriceNet Mobile, which uses handheld mobile devices to deliver real-time fuels pricing updates. KSS Visualizer, a Web-based data visualization tool, quickly draws attention to significant changes in key performance measures like volume, running rates, margins, competitor price position and more at any level of the business, from individual stores to the overall network, said the company.
