LA PALMA, Calif. -- Whether they fight for the Horde or battle with the Alliance, fans of Blizzard Entertainment's top massively multiplayer online (MMO) role-playing game, “World of Warcraft,” can show their allegiance by purchasing limited-edition collectible fountain drink cups at BP's ampm convenience stores.
Each 32-ounce cup depicts artwork of major “World of Warcraft characters,” such as Illidan Stormrage, the Lich King and Deathwing. Four different cups are available at ampm stores across the United States for $1.99 each.
"We're pleased to partner with ampm to bring gamers on the go this awesome set of collectible cups," said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. "Each one showcases a central character from our first three ‘World of Warcraft’ expansions and provides players with a fun memento of their time in Azeroth."
In-store signage features a quick response (QR) code that allows customers to access an online campaign landing page and sign up for a sweepstakes to win ampm and “World of Warcraft”-themed prizes, including gift cards, clothing, gaming peripherals and more. The webpage also includes a link that allows newcomers to try the game for free by downloading the ”World of Warcraft” starter edition.
