Wonka Looks For Next Product

Kids who dream of inventing the next big Willy Wonka candy may win the chance this month, as the "Wanna B Wonka" national sweepstakes begins. One specially marked "Wanna B Wonka" candy package will be someone's ticket to help invent the next limited edition Wonka candy.

One grand-prize winner and his or her family will be flown to a sponsor-determined location where he or she will help create an original, limited-edition Wonka candy and collect a Wonka salary of $25,000 cash.

"Willy Wonka always produces the unpredictable and the unimaginable in candy and fun," said Tricia Bowles, manager, public relations, Nestle Confections & Snacks. "This year, Wonka's imagination has inspired a factory full of surprises and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of being Wonka for a day!"

The grand-prize winner will be announced in February 2007. Prizes also include 100 first prize Wonka-purple MP3 players with customized Wonka armbands or one of a 1,000,001 second prizes, a package of Wonka candy.

Wonka will also be teaming up with Radio Disney for a special Wanna B Wonka Podcast Sweepstakes in June. Also this summer, new Wonka candies will be unveiled at Dylan's Candy Bar in Manhattan. The company would only say the products are "not bars."

Plus, the 2006 Wonkamobile Tour will run from June through September appearing at kid-friendly locations across the United States.
