Weird but True: Swarm of Bees Shuts Down N.C. Truck Stop

KENLY, N.C. -- A Johnston County truck stop had to shut down for a night after a swarm of bees escaped, according to a WRAL.com report.

Thousands of the insects escaped on Saturday from a semi-truck at mile marker 106 along Interstate 95 and began acting aggressively, said authorities, who called in beekeepers to help round up as many of the bees as possible.

Three state troopers reported being stung, but there were no serious injuries.
