Wallis Moves to Browser-Based Fuel Replenishment

CUBA, Mo. -- Louisville-based TelaPoint Inc. has signed an agreement with Cuba, Mo.-based Wallis Cos. to provide its TelaFuel Internet software solution to streamline and manage Wallis' fuel-replenishment process. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wallis will use TelaFuel, an Internet browser-based application suite, to improve management of fuel replenishment for its company-owned and dealer locations in Missouri. Wallis, one of the largest Exxon/Mobil distributors in the United States, distributes gasoline under the brand names of Mobil, Conoco, BP, Amoco and Phillips 66 to 47 company-owned convenience stores and more than 75 dealers.

TelaFuel will allow the company to electronically collect and process fuel replenishment information from retail locations and help manage petroleum inventories and supply logistics.

"Implementing TelaPoint's Internet supply chain solution is an important step in executing our ongoing strategy to improve petroleum supply efficiencies for both our retail stores and for our dealer operations," said Jason Wallis, director of transportation for Wallis Cos. "TelaFuel is helping us to better manage fuel inventories and to optimize the use of our company-owned transportation resources."
