    Wallis Cos. Develops On the Run Mobile App

    C-store chain also plans to introduce new website and revamped social media strategy.

    CUBA, Mo. -- Wallis Cos., operator of 32 On the Run convenience stores and gas stations near St. Louis, developed a mobile app for its customers, set to launch this month.

    The app, developed in partnership with OpenStore by GasBuddy, will provide customers with product deals, daily promotions, updated gas prices, a c-store locator, games and more. In addition, consumers will have the ability to send feedback from their mobile devices and receive store coupons in return.

    "We continue to look for new ways we can reach our customers and make their lives a bit simpler, so the logical next step for us was to create a mobile app," said Lynn Wallis of Cuba, Mo.-based Wallis Cos. "Our customers are utilizing new technology and their smartphones to shop and locate deals, and we are confident they will find our app a useful tool."

    The app will be available for free download for Android, BlackBerry and iPhone devices.
