VIDEO: Pitbull Reveals His Business Side at Hispanic Summit

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Enrique Arbelaez of XL Alliance interviewed hip-hop sensation Pitbull following the entertainer’s rousing speech at the Hispanic Retail 360 Summit, held here earlier this month.

Pitbull (real name Armando Perez) is a first-generation Cuban American who grew up in Miami and performed recently at MTV’s Video Music Awards. He said empowering the Hispanic community is an important part of who he is.

"Hispanics, Latinos, whatever you call us; I call us human beings. We are hard workers who appreciate freedom and appreciate coming to a country that allows us to provide for our families," the musician told the audience of more than 600 mostly retail and consumer product goods company executives.

The 2011 Hispanic Retail 360 Summit was sponsored by PepsiCo.
