VERC Enterprises a Top Place to Work

Boston Business Journal bestows honor based, in part, on employee surveys.

DUXBURY, Mass. -- C-store operator VERC Enterprises was named a 2011 "Best Place to Work" by the Boston Business Journal. The newspaper honored the operator of 23 stores throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire for its "achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture."

"We're honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award from the Boston Business Journal and proud that we have created the type of working environment that is worthy of our being named a best place to work," said Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises.

VERC's honor was the result of a two-stage nomination process, as well as employee satisfaction surveys taken throughout April. VERC will receive its award during a June 9 breakfast at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. A special supplement to the Boston Business Journal honoring the winners will be published on June 10.
