VERC Enterprises to Receive Award for Hiring Veterans

DUXBURY, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises will be recognized for their commitment to hiring veterans at a "Veteran Friendly Employer" celebration at the Massachusetts State House on July 15, where principals will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.

VERC Enterprises participated in the statewide "Hire a Veteran Month" campaign last fall. The company independently operates 20 facilities along highway 495 throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The facilities include Exxon-Mobil stations and most have a Dunkin Donuts inside.

Principal Paul Vercollone told the Norwell Mariner, "Our desire and commitment to hire veterans has been long standing. We are proud to have been selected to attend this important recognition program."

State senator and co-chairman of the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs, Stephen Brewer, is expected to attend the event, along with governor Mitt Romney, lieutenant governor Kerry Healey and representative Anthony Verga.
