VERC Enterprises Collects Money for Pakistani flood victims

DUXBURY, Mass. -- A fundraising effort in response to the devastating floods recently experienced in the country of Pakistan yielded a total of $5,301, according to Leo Vercollone, president of VERC Enterprises, a leading independent convenience store, gasoline station and car wash operation with 23 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

"We thank all our customers who contributed to this worthy cause," Vercollone said in a released statement. "It is our hope that this contribution will help make a difference to those who have been directly affected by the catastrophic floods."

Canisters were available on counters at all VERC gasoline and convenience store locations from August 30 to September 9 for donations to assist those affected by the natural disaster, and because VERC Enterprises matched every dollar raised, the total between canister donations and company match came to $5,301.
