VERC Earns Second Best Place to Work Award This Year
DUXBURY, Mass. -- VERC Enterprises was honored by the Boston Globe with a 2011 Top Places to Work award. The convenience store retailer was recognized as one of the 100 best employers in Massachusetts.
Leo Vercollone, VERC's president, accepted the award during a Nov. 3 ceremony hosted by the daily newspaper.
The c-store chain is certainly no stranger to best places to work awards. VERC received a "Best Places to Work Award" from the Boston Business Journal earlier this year. The business publication also recognized the company as a "Leader in Diversity" for its commitment to hiring those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"We're honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award from the Boston Globe, and proud that we have created the type of working environment that is worthy of our being named a best place to work," said Vercollone.
VERC Enterprises operates 24 Mobil and Gulf locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
