Valero Donates $350,000 to Food Bank
SAN ANTONIO -- The Valero Energy Foundation donated $350,000 to the San Antonio Food Bank over the weekend, to assist in the purchase of a refrigerated truck, the San Antonio Business Journal reported.
Approximately $150,000 of the donation will go toward the truck, while the remaining $200,000 will be used toward maintenance of the truck over the next four years, according to the report.
The truck will be used to keep perishable foods fresh and allow Food Bank staff to pick up additional food items from local donors, the report stated.
