U.S. Gasoline Retails Rise Again

CAMARILLO, Calif. -- The average price of regular gasoline in the United States jumped 5.31 cents per gallon in the last two weeks, according to an Associate Press report of The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices.

The average national price of a gallon of regular was $3.18 as of the survey's end on Friday. The average price for mid-grade was $3.32; premium gasoline hit $3.43, according to analyst Trilby Lundberg. The price of diesel rose nine cents, to $3.59 a gallon.

The lowest average price among cities surveyed was found in Billings, Mont., where a gallon of regular gasoline sold for an average $2.95 a gallon. San Francisco motorists paid the most on average, $3.54.
