Turkey Hill Brings New Prototype to Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Turkey Hill Minit Markets will add another feather to its cap with the Nov. 15 opening of its second Turkey Hill Market prototype store. The first Turkey Hill Market opened in Marysville, Ohio, in February 2012.

"With this opening in Columbus, we're bringing the friendly, small-town feel and diverse product selection of a neighborhood general store or corner grocer, along with the efficiency and quick service of a convenience store," stated Turkey Hill, a division of The Kroger Co.

Measuring 7,516 square feet, the Columbus store at 950 Georgesville Road is approximately 700 square feet larger than the Marysville location.

This latest Turkey Hill Market will have many of the features offered at the retailer’s traditional Turkey Hill Minit Markets, including fresh-brewed coffee and Turkey Hill-branded ice cream, iced tea and drinks. The new store will also offer fueling stations, a car wash and Redbox movie rentals.

In addition, foodservice items will separate the new Turkey Hill Market from competitors. The store will feature a large selection of items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including fried chicken, pizza, build-your-own bistro-style sandwiches, wraps, bowls, platters and more.

Turkey Hill Market customers using a Kroger Plus loyalty card for their in-store merchandise purchases will be able to save up to $1 per gallon on fuel. Plus, for a limited time, customers at the Georgesville Road store can enter to win a $500 Turkey Hill gift card.

The grand-opening celebration on Nov. 15 will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and donations to local nonprofits in honor of the store opening. Approximately 45 people will be employed at the Columbus store.
