    Travel Mart Signs Seven-Store Deal With Dunkin' Donuts

    C-store retailer will operate a total of 20 Dunkin' franchises by 2020.

    WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. -- Travel Mart Inc. signed a seven-store franchise agreement with Dunkin' Donuts. All of the new restaurants will be located in La Crosse and Eau Claire, Wis.

    Wisconsin Dells, Wis.-based Travel Mart currently operates six Dunkin' Donuts locations and previously committed to open seven additional locations throughout the Badger State.

    This latest seven-store deal, announced today, will see its first location open in 2014, with the remainder to open by 2020. Once these franchise locations are completed, Travel Mart will operate a total of 20 Dunkin' Donuts stores in Wisconsin.

    "We are excited to continue to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence throughout western Wisconsin and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said franchisee Gary Gussel. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand, and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come."

    As of today's agreement, Dunkin' Donuts franchise opportunities are sold out in Wisconsin, according to Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. Franchise opportunities still remain in other states, however.

"We believe these existing franchise partners will cultivate lasting customer relationships and become integral parts of their local communities."

    In addition to operating convenience stores, Travel Mart Inc. shares an ownership structure with Holiday Wholesale Inc., a distributor of food and sundry products, and Vacationland Vendors Inc., a vending and amusement service company.

    Founded in 1950, Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Donuts has a network of more than 10,500 restaurants in 31 countries. In 2012, its restaurants had global franchisee-reported sales of approximately $6.9 billion.
