Town & Country Food Stores Selects KSS

FLORHAM PARK, N.J.-- Town & Country Food Stores, an operator of 159 convenience food stores in Texas and New Mexico, selected the KSS PriceNet solution for fuel price management and optimization to provide consistency and accountability with its fuel pricing process, the company reported.

"As we have centralized our approach to managing our fuel operations, PriceNet has satisfied the need for a solution that would provide real time information, enabling us to manage the entire network through an exception based, streamlined, and automated process," said Devin Bates, senior vice president, chief information officer and chief financial officer of Town & Country.

KSS PriceNet is an end-to-end pricing solution that captures surveys at the site level with PriceNet Web, which interfaces directly into the PriceNet pricing system. Prices are then generated, either by rules or through optimization, to provide consistent and timely execution of pricing while maximizing profitability, the company reported. The entire process from site survey to prices communicated back to the site is performed within minutes, ensuring a rapid response to market conditions and leveraging the power of science and automation, along with known market intelligence.

"Town & Country is leveraging KSS PriceNet to truly understand the complex dynamics of fuel pricing,'' said Bob Stein, chief executive of KSS' fuel group. ''It now has instant access and insight into the competitive landscape and volume trends, and is able to consistently achieve its financial goals. We are delighted to have Town & Country as a customer, one of the leading convenience store retailers in the United States.''
