U.S. Oil Expanding Its Network of GAIN CNG Stations

PrintU.S. Oil Expanding Its Network of GAIN CNG Stations

APPLETON, Wis. -- U.S. Oil believes compressed natural gas (CNG) is the fuel of the future. The company backed up that belief by purchasing six GAIN Clean Fueling stations in Wisconsin.

Prior to the acquisition, U.S. Oil already operated two GAIN stations. Hence, the company now operates eight such stations in the Badger State, located in Menomonie, Marinette, Appleton, Franklin, Racine, Waukesha and two locations in Milwaukee.

In addition, U.S. Oil announced it will open a ninth GAIN location in Green Bay next month.

“CNG provides a more cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuels, and our goal is to create a network of stations that link markets, allowing more trucking companies to utilize CNG," said Mike Koel, vice president of business development for U.S. Oil.

According to U.S. Oil, all GAIN stations are equipped with a quick fuel design that allow truckers to fill a tank with CNG in the same time it would take to fill up a conventional diesel tank.

Looking ahead, Koel said U.S. Oil is seeking to open addition GAIN Clean Fueling stations throughout the United States.

Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. Oil is a division of U.S. Venture Inc., an energy and transportation products distributor and marketer.
