Holiday and Cub Foods Introduce New Loyalty Program

PrintHoliday and Cub Foods Introduce New Loyalty Program

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Holiday Cos. is again joining forces with supermarket chain Cub Foods to launch the My Cub Rewards program.

Starting on Sunday, Sept. 30, Cub Foods customers will be able to use their My Cub Rewards card when shopping and subsequently earn fuel savings that is redeemable at more than 220 Holiday Stationstores in Minnesota. For every $50 accumulated in qualified purchases as Cub Foods, customers can earn a savings of 5 cents per gallon. The savings can reach as high $1.50 per gallon, and is valid for up to 20 gallons in a single transaction at Holiday Stationstores.

This is not the first time the convenience store operator and supermarket chain have teamed up for a rewards program. The two companies have joined forces on several occasions in fact. However, in the past, fuel savings was achieved through a per-transaction, coupon-based program. The new My Cub Rewards allows consumers to accumulate fuel savings and eliminate the need to carry multiple paper coupons.

"We are delighted that Minnesota's two hometown market leaders have joined to offer this exceptional program to our customers," said Brent Blackey, Holiday Stationstores president and chief operating officer. "Thousands of consumers have enjoyed the gas discount program for years and we can now offer greater rewards and greater convenience."

Brian Audette, president of Cub Foods added his company is thrilled to again partner with Holiday Stationstores. "We want to make saving easy and the My Cub Rewards program accomplishes exactly that," he said."We hope customers in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota will sign up for the My Cub Rewards Card to start taking advantage of these rewards."

Beginning on Sunday, consumers can track their rewards balances by visiting any Cub Foods Minnesota supermarket or online at www.cub.com/myrewards.

Holiday Stationstores has 468 locations throughout 10 states in the northern tier of the United States.
