7-Eleven Adds Line of Travel-Sized Health and Beauty Products
DALLAS -- 7-Eleven is taking convenience into the skies with a new line of fill-in and travel health and beauty products that come in sizes approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). All of the items will sell for $1.99 each or two for $3, and the packages will be less than four ounces to fit carry-on restrictions. "7-Eleven always is looking for ways to innovate and broaden our brand of convenience," said Jesus Delgado-Jenkins, senior vice president of merchandising, marketing and logistics for 7-Eleven. "We worked with our franchisees who related their customers' needs, which led us to this line of products. Based on our customers' buying habits, we believe we deliver the convenience, quality and value they want." The complete line includes the following items: • Colgate toothpaste The line officially launched this past spring and has been a hit, especially in tourist-heavy areas, the company said. "This is the greatest thing to happen to my store," said 7-Eleven franchisee Elease Lewars, of Hollywood, Fla. "The price is fantastic at two for $3, and tourists are always dropping in for forgotten items, especially toothpaste. I've learned to make sure we are always in stock, because they're such hot sellers." 7-Eleven may expand the line later this year, according to its announcement.
