Toot'n Totum Doubles Employee College Funds

AMARILLO, Texas -- Toot'n Totum convenience stores is doubling funding for its employee tuition-reimbursement program, according to Amarillo.com that cited company President Greg Mitchell.

"We want to help offset the increasing costs of higher education for our employees as a way of encouraging them to further their education," Mitchell said in the report.

The company will reimburse employees enrolled at Amarillo College, West Texas A&M University, Wayland Baptist University and Frank Phillips College as much as $750 a semester or $1,500 a year, beginning this semester, the report stated.

Students must be employed by Toot'n Totum prior to the start and through the end of the semester they are seeking to be reimbursed to be eligible for the program.
