Three C-store Chains Partner with Radiant

ATLANTA -- Heritage's Dairy Stores of New Jersey, Smokin Joes of New York and Sprint Food Stores of Georgia chose Radiant Systems store technology.

"We partnered with Radiant because of its reputation as a best-of-breed POS provider as well as its ability to deliver a complete store system that can manage a food service operation," said Jay Dempsey, director of marketing at Heritage's Dairy Stores, a chain installing Radiant technology in 36 stores.

For Sprint Food Stores, this is the second time the chain has chosen Radiant for its POS needs. "Radiant continues to deliver on our need for a workhorse POS and a back-office system," said Andy Jones, president of Sprint Food Stores. "With eight stores that offer fuel, food and other products, we need to manage a multi-site operation, but we're not so large that we have a lot of people to do that. Centralized control and consolidated reporting allow us to manage our business without having to physically be in all stores. Now we have a much better ability to evaluate the business and react quickly."

Ed Farnham, general manager of Smokin Joes chose the system because it is specialized for the industry. "Radiant has delivered a system that is not only specialized for our industry, but also delivers capability specific to our business," he said. "We use the system to centrally manage our key categories and store operations," he said. "If we don't do this well, customers aren't properly served."
