Texaco's Car of the Decades Contest Continues

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Chevron Products Co. launched Texaco's Car of the Decades virtual auto show contest, celebrating car enthusiasts and owners of classic cars across the country.

Now in its third year, the contest allows participants to vote for their favorite cars from every decade in the 20th century through present day, and will feature up to 11 winners, one car per decade, and one grand prize winner, the editor's pick among all winning cars.

"The Car of the Decades contest is an opportunity for the people of Texaco to interact with loyal customers and car enthusiasts across the country," said Danny Roden, vice president of Chevron Global Marketing for the Americas. "Car of the Decades celebrates our rich heritage of consumers who trust Texaco with Techron for their car—whether it is classic or brand new."

A panel of expert judges—including racing legend Mario Andretti, the President of Automobile Magazine Jean Jennings, the associate editor of Car Craft Magazine John McGann, and Chris Jacobs from Overhaulin' and HubGarage.com—will make final decisions and select a grand prize winner at the conclusion of online public voting.

Auto enthusiasts can register online at www.TexacoCaroftheDecades.com to enter their car for a chance to win prizes, including Texaco gift cards, framed drawings of the winning cars by Dwayne Vance and a trip to Skip Barber Driving School.

The Car of the Decades contest runs Aug. 3, through Oct. 12, and winners will be announced Nov. 16.
