Texaco Hits the Road for Cross Country Trip

ATLANTA -- Automotive journalist Jeff Bressler will help launch the Texaco Everyday Performance Instant Win Game by driving more than 3,000 miles cross country to meet Texaco customers along the way, Chevron stated yesterday.

Bressler will blog and Tweet after visiting more than 15 Texaco stations, beginning today in Atlanta, and ending in Reno, Nev., Aug. 6, at the legendary classic car show Hot August Nights, according to the San-Ramon, Calif.-based company.

Consumers can read his blog at www.roadswing.us and follow him on Twitter at http://twitter.com/jeffbressler.

Bressler is the news editor and on-air anchor for Motor Trend Magazine's Motor Trend Radio, which can be heard each weekend on more than 120 radio stations across the country, as well as Sirius 108 and XM 139 satellite radio. Bressler also serves as news and motorsports director for Auto World Radio, heard each Sunday night on 32 radio stations throughout the U.S. via Genesis Communications.

"I am looking forward to getting out on the open road and talking to drivers across the country about the unbeatable cleaning power of Texaco with Techron," Bressler stated. "Texaco stations along the way provide the perfect locations to stop, make some new friends and fill up the tank of the Camaro I'll be driving, the same model some lucky contest winners could soon be parking in their own driveways."

The Texaco Everyday Performance Instant Win Game, which runs Aug. 1-31, features more than 8,000 prizes, including 10 new 2010 Chevrolet Camaros, 21 Texaco with Techron gas-for-a-year prizes, and thousands of Texaco gift cards. Texaco customers play by picking up game cards at participating Texaco stations and registering online at www.texacoperformance.com.

"The Texaco Everyday Performance Instant Win Game allows customers to fill up on Texaco with Techron while enjoying the chance to win great prizes. We're excited to have Jeff join us on this adventure," Danny Roden, vice president of Chevron Global Marketing for the Americas, said in yesterday’s announcement.

The Chevron family of brands includes the Chevron, Texaco and Caltex brands.
