SAN ANTONIO -- Independent petroleum refiner and marketer Tesoro Corp. announced a three-year agreement for expanded data communication services with Omaha, Neb.-based DTN Energy’s DataConnect, a large industry information pipeline for refiners and wholesalers.
As part of Tesoro’s ongoing commitment to customer service, the company will send invoices and other business information, along with daily posted rack prices, to DTN for transmission, adding value-added data integration services for branded and unbranded Tesoro customers.

Tesoro branded and unbranded marketers will receive translated electronic messages from DTN, equipping them with a timesaving, single source of data that has been formatted to work with their back-office accounting software.
“DTN will continue to build on a legacy of great service for Tesoro and offer its customers the ability to integrate their rack prices, invoices and other business documents directly into their back-office accounting software,” said Robert Gordon, DTN’s CEO.
Tesoro’s retail marketing system includes approximately 500 branded retail stations, of which more than 200 are company-operated under the Tesoro and Mirastar brands.
