Tedeschi's Donates $20,000 to Toys for Tots
ROCKLAND, Mass.--Tedeschi Food Shops reached a goal set in September when the company raised and donated $20,000 to the Toys for Tots Foundation on Friday.
"We are proud to be involved with many charities during the year, but none more worthwhile and fulfilling than Toys for Tots," Robert Tedeschi, executive vice president of Tedeschi Food Shops, told CSNews Online . "To be able to help brighten the lives of children and families in need at Christmas is the best gift of all. We salute the U.S. Marines and the Toys for Tots Foundation for their unselfish devotion to children."
Tedeschi raised the money through their "Select 2-Liter Soda, Toys For Tots" campaign that began on Nov. 14. For every Tedeschi Select two-liter soda sold during the holiday season, 20 cents was donated to the Toys For Tots Foundation.
All 200 Tedeschi Food Shops, Li’l Peach and Store 24 corporate and franchise locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire participated in the campaign.
