Tedeschi, Terrible's Open New Stores

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops, based here, opened a new store in Everett, Mass., earlier this week.

The store, located at 2029 Revere Beach Parkway, is the chain's 189th location and the fourth in the town, according to the company.

In addition to an assortment of snacks and beverages, the new facility will offer customers fresh food items such as the TD's Deli Express lines of premium sandwiches, wraps and freshly made salads, the company said in a press release. The new store will also offer Green Mountain premium coffee in a variety of flavors.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas-based Terrible Herbst, operator of more than 100 convenience store and gas stations in the region, will open a new store Dec. 19, in the northwest valley, at Cheyenne and I-215, the company stated.

The new store includes a gas station, convenience store, lube center and car wash.

To mark the occasion, the company will hold a holiday-themed grand opening celebration from 12-2 p.m. that day. Santa will appear at the store to take free photos with all the "Terrible boys and girls on his list," the company stated.

In addition, Terrible's will give away $5 Chevron gift cards for the first 300 people at the station, along with free hot chocolate and Hershey's candy treats, and a special $12.19 oil change in the Lube Center, the company stated.

KKLZ-FM will broadcast live from the station, and an "I Love Mr. Terrible" coloring contest for kids will be held, with a prize of a new Apple iPod nano. The first 300 kids will receive a Terrible's mustache as well.

Also at the event will be the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, collecting gift cards for the Safe Place program, which is officially sponsored by Terrible's. The group will seek donations of $5 and $10 gift cards to area fast food restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores and others for area homeless youth.
