CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Susser Holdings Corp. expects 2013 fiscal first quarter same-store merchandise sales to grow by approximately 4.2 percent and average fuel volume growth to rise by about 4.1 percent compared to the same period in 2012.
The operator of Stripes convenience stores and Laredo Taco Co. quick-service restaurants offered preliminary guidance to investors today regarding its quarterly results. It will release its full earnings report on May 8 at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
In today's update, Susser Holdings also noted it opened four new Stripes stores in its latest quarter ended March 31. The c-store chain closed one store during its 2013 fiscal first quarter, which is currently being rebuilt to align with the company's larger store footprint.
Susser Holdings operated 562 Stripes stores as of March 31, 355 of which included an in-store restaurant offering.
Corpus Christi, Texas-based Susser Holdings Corp. operates Stripes convenience stores in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. It also owns 50.1 percent of Susser Petroleum Partners LP, a wholesale fuels distributor that completed its initial public offering on Sept. 26.
Susser Petroleum Partners will also announce its quarterly earnings results on May 8.
