Sunshine Gasoline Buys 35 Shell Stations

DORAL, Fla. -- Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, a convenience store chain owner and operator, recently completed the purchase of 35 Shell stations owned by Shell subsidiary Motiva Enterprises, the Miami Daily Business Review reported.

The acquired stations were all of Motiva's retail fuel sites in Miami-Dade County, according to the report.

Sunshine founder Maximo Alvarez told the paper the purchase includes leases for some of the stations, but declined to comment on the purchase price, according to the report. Miami-Dade records for the sale state the properties where purchased by Sunshine for $18.05 million, excluding the lease deals, the Business Review reported. A call to Alvarez by CSNews Online was not returned by press time.

Sunshine previously purchased 24 properties, including three vacant parcels, for $16.36 million in late July, the newspaper reported.
